Dishonest Elizabeth Guzman: Wrong for Virginia

On September 12, Elizabeth Guzman claimed she had been threatened and chased by a local resident.
She called the police. She posted about it on social media.

It was all a lie. Her toxic behavior and pattern of dishonesty make her unfit to represent us in Richmond.

It gets worse.

She opposes parental rights.

She repeatedly voted against notifying parents when sex crimes are committed against their kids at school.

In 2020, she was Chief Patron of HB 580, which would have expanded the definition of child abuse to parents who don’t affirm their child’s gender transition.

Guzman claims to be for safe communities, but in 2020, she sponsored legislation making felon drug dealers eligible for food stamps.

She also opposed legislation that would have held drug dealers who push fentanyl accountable when someone dies from an overdose.

She helps drug dealers, not our communities.

Guzman's recent claims that she supports law enforcement are laughable. Her record speaks for itself: She supported Prince William County efforts to stop notifying federal law enforcement when illegal immigrants are charged with crimes.

She repeatedly voted against notifying parents when sex crimes are committed against their children.

She is financially supported by groups who have called to defund the police.

She supports shielding criminals and defunding the police.

She supports higher taxes and higher bills.

Guzman doesn't care if your tax or energy bill goes up. She supported bills that increased taxes on Virginia families, opposed cutting the income tax, and supported energy policies that increased costs by up to 20% every month.

Guzman claims she will protect us from the data center industry, but her receipts say otherwise. She received $15,000 in cash from the data center industry's biggest cheerleader who opposed all data center legislation in Richmond. Now, they're supporting her.

Guzman has taken money from the Data Center Darling, former Prince William County board chair, Ann Wheeler, who rubber stamped project after project, ignoring citizen input.

Not only did Guzman do nothing to halt or limit data center development during her prior terms in office, now she's selling out to them.

On Data Centers, she takes their dirty money and does their dirty work.

In a recent ad, Guzman lied, saying that Lovejoy supports an abortion ban, Medicaid cuts, and firing federal works.

In reality, Lovejoy supports finding consensus on abortion, while preserving the exceptions for rape, incest, and when the health of the mother is at risk. Guzman on the other hand, would be a rubber stamp for the most extreme abortion amendment that would allow for late-term, third trimester abortions up until the moment of birth, and allow minors to obtain abortions without parental consent.

When it comes to Medicaid cuts, Lovejoy voted in favor of adding over $600 million dollars to the state emergency reserves, totaling over $5 billion to offset changes made at the Federal level.  He also supported expanding access to unemployment benefits and voted to create a standing committee to review and offer rapid response to major changes at the federal level.

Finally, Delegate Lovejoy supported an initiative that saw the General Assembly create the Emergency Committee on the Impacts of Federal Workforce and Funding Reductions - an effort to help mitigate any uncertainty at the federal level.

She’s also lying about Ian Lovejoy’s record

Guzman just can’t help but lie!

Elizabeth Guzman wants you to think she’s a moderate, but we know the truth:

She’s a Bernie Sanders-supporting and self-described “proud” progressive.
